Under the leadership of the Multnomah County Health Department, the Health Equity Initiative was launched to 1) Create a common understanding of the causes of and solutions to health inequities, with a focus on justice and equity, 2) Raise the visibility of current prevention efforts by community-based organizations and county departments and 3) Explore and advance policy solutions that address health inequities.
