“CLAS Standards in Health and Health Care”

Thursday, November 19, 2015
10:30am – 12:00pm

1.5 Credits for CHES, Nursing and CE for NJ Public Health Professionals

The National Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards in Health and Health Care provide a structure to implement culturally and linguistically appropriate services, to advance health equity and help eliminate health care disparities.  Dr. Daniels will introduce the national perspective and New Jersey efforts in establishing a blueprint for health and health care. Health disparities adversely affect neighborhoods, communities and the broader society, thus making the issue not only an individual concern but also a public health concern.
