Mastering the Roles of Supervision

This training:

  • Introduces the concept of the Competing Values Framework
  • Describes the often competing roles associated with being an effective supervisor
  • Explains the levels of mastery of a skill
  • Provides strategies for assessing and monitoring your progress through the levels of supervisory mastery

*This course was launched in August 2007. It was reviewed in August, 2015 to assess its relevance to the current public health workforce and evaluate its continued listing on the Region 2 PHTC website. The review process was based on a subset of recognized standards. In order to keep the course up-to-date, the reviewer additionally updated the dead links in the course along with identifying further resources to help learners achieve the objectives of the course.
