Dr. Steven Woolf, kicked off the Mailman School’s 2013-2014 Grand Rounds on the Future of Public Health with an in-depth presentation on the National Academy of Sciences Report, U.S. in International Perspective: Shorter Lives, Poorer Health, which clearly depicts the declining U.S. health standing among 17 peer nations. Dr. Woolf followed the presentation of results with communications, programs, and policy ideas on how to begin to change the course outlined in the report.
