The Use and Usefulness of the 3-Step Prioritization Sequence in Creating a Workforce Development Plan

The Public Health Foundation (PHF) developed a quality improvement tool called the “3-Step Prioritization Matrix”, which can be used to determine the Council on Linkages Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals most important to supporting an organization’s mission. PHF President Ron Bialek presented essential background and context on the PHF, the Council on Linkages Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals and the relationship to the Prioritization Matrix, and the use of the 3-Step Prioritization Matrix in creating a workforce development plan (PHAB Domain 8). Mr. Bialek’s presentation was followed by a brief question and answer session.
